On 30th, May I went to see Nickelback concert in Cologne LANXESS arena for the 2nd time, after 8 years break! Last time I saw the guys in 2016 in Kaunas, Lithuania during No Fixed Address Tour, and this time it was during Get Rollin' World Tour. Keep reading to find out more about the concert itself!

The Venue
Concert was held at Cologne LANXESS arena. It is quite well located, I stayed in the hotel in the city center close to Kölner Dom and I just took a train (S-bahn, RE, RB all fits) for one station to Köln Messe/Deutz. From there its a short 10 mins walk to the arena.
Everything was quite nicely organised, after the show I went to buy a merchandise and happily went back to the hotel.
Queueing
I was quite surprised by the queue when I arrive to the venue 45mins before the doors opened (you can see it in the video)
So why I was surprised about the queue? So in comparison below you can see a photos from Blink 182 concert in Hamburg and Maroon 5 in Berlin (both last year). And both times I was at the venue around 30-45mins before the doors opening.

I was a bit farther from the stage during Nickelback, likely because they didn't have a fan zone, just GA tickets. That's probably why so many fans were queuing earlier than usual.
Here's my view from the Nickelback concert—still pretty good! I strategically picked a spot without tall people in front of me (and hoping they dont join later hahaha). Short concert enthusiasts will understand the struggle!

First solo experience in GA
So it was a first concert I went alone to GA, and I was a bit stressed, especially about waiting part. While the wait wasn’t particularly fun or exciting, it wasn’t as bad as I had imagined. I learned that going to a concert in the general admission (GA) section alone is completely doable. If I really want to see a show and can't find someone to join me, I now know I can still have a great time on my own.
I had initially thought I could move around a bit while waiting, perhaps to buy merch or grab a beer before the show started. However, the GA section filled up quickly, so I decided not to risk losing my spot.
Overall, this experience taught me that attending a concert solo can be enjoyable and empowering, even in the standing section.
Performance
The concert was outstanding! The guys really know how to put on a great show. I loved the setlist (one small critique later on). The energy, atmosphere, and audience were 💯💯💯. I have to say, this was one of the loudest audiences I've seen in Germany.
In comparison to a concert 8 years ago in Lithuania, there was definitely less talking and no drinking in the stage (?!) I remember the guys having drinks and long talks/jokes between the songs which was adding up to the hilarious experience too.
Small criticism
One of the songs was "Don't Look Back in Anger," covered mainly by the supporting band. While I love this song, I'd have preferred an extra Nickelback song in the setlist instead. It would've been better if the cover was part of the opening set. Maybe the guys needed a break, but if not, I need to have a word with the setlist manager.
Bottom line
I loved every second of it! Nickelback knows how to give the audience what they want with nostalgic songs, high energy, and good humor!
Would I go again? Absolutely, no doubt!
