Concert Tip: Must-Do Thing Before Every Concert

Writer's picture: AgneAgne

No matter which concert I attend—whether it’s a band I absolutely love or one where I only know a few songs—there’s one thing I always do: I spend at least a few days (sometimes even more) listening to the setlist of the concert I’m about to attend and learning some of the lyrics.

Check the Setlist on Setlist.fm

First, I check the setlist on setlist.fm. While the setlist can change slightly from show to show, the core songs usually remain consistent. This gives me a good idea of which songs to expect at the concert.

Find or Create a Playlist on Spotify

Next, I look for a matching playlist on Spotify, such as “Ed Sheeran Mathematics Tour 2024 Europe.” I always compare it with the current setlist to make sure it’s accurate. If I can’t find a good playlist, I’ll even create my own based on the setlist I find on setlist.fm.

Why Not Just Start With Spotify?

Why not just start with Spotify? There are tons of playlists that don’t match the current setlist. I like to be prepared and make sure I’m listening to the right songs so I can fully enjoy the concert experience.

Enhance Your Concert Experience

Listening to the setlist in advance really enhances the concert experience—it’s always more fun when you know most of the songs and can sing along! I love the energy of a crowd singing passionately, and I’m sure the artists appreciate it when the audience knows the lyrics and is fully enjoying the performance.
