On July 9th, 2024, I attended Bryan Adams So Happy It Hurts Tour at the Mountains Park (Kalnų Parkas) in Vilnius. We had General Admission tickets (it was the only type of standing ticket available), arrived to the venue around 40 mins before the doors and got to the barricade!

Keep reading to find out all the details about the concert.

Performance

Last week I went to my 3rd Bryan Adams concert, and he proved once again he's an iconic rockstar! No crazy effects or lights, just pure, fantastic music, including smashing hits and emotional ballads that bring goosebumps every time. Bryan himself is a living legend, he is still super energetic (let's remember that man is 64, so respect); he also spent time interacting with the audience and looked like he still fully enjoys being on stage! Man just knows what the audience wants and delivers 100%.

The Setlist

From the beginning of the concert Bryan Adams promised to fit as many songs as possible into the time we have, and he delivered! It was a perfect mix of greatest hits and some new tracks that blended in seamlessly.

Interestingly, I noticed on setlist.fm that he has different setlists for different shows. Some are shorter, like the 1h 40min one in Vilnius, while others reach up to 30 songs and last 2 hours! These longer setlists often include songs that the audience requested as well. Before the concert in Vilnius, we also had an opportunity to submit song requests via QR code, but sadly, it wasn't part of the show. Not sure what determines which setlist the artists choose for the different concerts.

The Venue

The concert took place at Mountain Park. While it might sound funny to people from countries with actual mountains, this park is full of slopes, and we had to climb quite a few stairs to reach the venue. Because of these slopes, getting to the bathrooms and merch stand from the GA sector was a real pain in the a**. We had to go around the venue and up and down hills, so in the end we decided to skip the beer as we didn't plan to have an extra workout that day. Not sure why there weren't shorter routes planned for GA ticket holders, cause it was possible to have the shortcuts, but maybe it's some crowd traffic control.

In general, the location was really nice, and we were lucky with the weather, which added to the great vibe. Even Bryan Adams mentioned that it's a perfect spot to finish his summer tour in Europe! But don't worry - if you would still like to see him Bryan is back in Europe in autumn!

By the way, here is the video of people returning from the concert taking those stairs.

Queuing

My guess was that Bryan Adams fans in Lithuania are not crazy about queuing and this time I was right! We arrive 40mins before the doors and I was the 4th person to enter the venue. We also accidentally found the back entrance and we were told that it's actually closer to the standing sector, so lucky us!

The Audience

After the fiasco with the Pink concert audience, I was pleasantly surprised by the people we were surrounded by. Everyone was really polite and respectful, not pushing or making problems but just truly enjoying the songs, singing, and having a great time. We also had quite some space to move at the barricade, which is not always the case in the standing sector.

I want to give a special shout-out to my mom, who keeps up with my concert plans - queuing, waiting, standing for ours and just signing up for every idea I have.

Next stop for me and my mom - Ed Sheeran, in my lovely hometown, Kaunas.

And for the end, I caught the guitar pick from Bryan Adams himself!!
