Essential Tips Before the Concert

  1. Preload Your Tickets

Internet connections inside arenas can be weak or even nonexistent due to large crowds. To avoid any issues, make sure to preload your tickets in the app or take a screenshot in case there’s no signal at the venue.

  2. Take Public Transportation

Many concert tickets, for example in Germany and Lithuania, include free public transportation. Sometimes, you need to personalize and download the transportation ticket separately, so be sure to check official information. Public transit is usually the easiest and most stress-free way to get to and from the venue.

  3. Know Your Entrance

If you have standing tickets, check in advance which entrance you need to use. This saves you time and prevents unnecessary running around the venue instead of securing a good spot.

  4. Know the Venue’s Policies

Some venues have strict rules about items like cameras, water bottles, and signs. Check in advance to avoid surprises at security.

  5. Dress for Comfort and Weather

We all love to wear something stylish and extraordinary for concerts (me included!), but don’t forget to check the weather forecast—especially for outdoor events. Summer concerts can get extremely hot, and stadiums with crowded areas feel even warmer. Dress accordingly to stay comfortable.

  6. Wear Comfortable Shoes

This might sound obvious, but comfortable footwear is a must, especially if you have standing tickets. With long hours of standing, dancing, and walking, your feet will thank you for choosing supportive shoes. Even seated attendees will appreciate comfortable footwear since concerts typically last around two hours.

  7. Have a Meal Before Arriving

Food, drink, and even bathroom lines inside the venue can be incredibly long. Avoid the hassle by eating beforehand, ensuring you have enough energy to enjoy the show without waiting in queues.

  8. Stay Hydrated

Especially for summer concerts or crowded indoor arenas, staying hydrated is crucial. Some venues allow empty water bottles you can refill inside.

  9. Pack a Small Bag with Essentials

Many venues have strict bag policies (often allowing nothing larger than A4 size). Bring a small bag with essentials like a wallet, power bank, sunscreen, lip balm, hand sanitizer, napkins, and a small raincoat for outdoor concerts. If venue allows, pack an empty water bottle too.

Important Tips During the Concert

  1. For Standing Sections: Secure Your Spot

If you’re in the floor section, head straight to your spot when you enter. You can then take turns with friends to grab drinks or merch, ensuring you don’t lose your place.

  2. Don’t Skip the Opening Acts

While the anticipation of seeing your favorite artist is high, opening bands can be a great way to discover new music! I personally have found new favorites by giving openers a chance, so consider watching them—you might love what you hear!

  3. Stay Until the End

Leaving early to avoid crowds has become a trend, especially in larger cities, but it takes away from the experience. It can also feel disrespectful to the artist, who’s giving their all until the final song. You paid for the ticket—why not enjoy every moment?

  4. Be Polite and Respect Fellow Fans

Lately, some fans carry the mentality that "I paid for the ticket, so I can do whatever I want." However, remember that the other 50,000 people around you also paid for their tickets. Let’s create a nice and safe atmosphere for everyone. For example, if you’re in the floor section and arrive late, don’t push your way to the front—people have been waiting for hours to secure those spots, and it’s important to respect that. Being mindful of others ensures everyone has a great concert experience!

By following these concert tips, you’ll set yourself up for an unforgettable concert experience. Get ready to sing, dance, and make amazing memories!
